Drums: My version of this song was built off of the drums. I began by sampling the drums at 1:47(i think?) and creating a long loop. This became the main driving drum part throughout the A&C sections of the song. I sampled some of the cymbals from around 0:25 as the time keeper for the B&D sections as well.

Violin: After I had the drums, I chopped up the violin to create a new melody that I really liked with the main drums. Once I had this together the main A&C synth part and the rest of the A section came together quickly. I also sampled a lot of violin bits that either got reversed or manipulated into unrecognition for Sections B&D.

Bass: I took spaces from between notes (slides and fret buzz) and manipulated them into some of the background percussive elements. Chopping up and manipulating the bass led me to the main synth part, but I ended up using a synth to capture that melody because my sampling sounded a bit messy. I also sampled one section of bass (i forget where) and chopped it up a lot to create the main melody and rhythm of the B&D sections. The B section was then revised to be more subdued, but the original manipulated bass sample remains in the D section.

Vox: I think I sampled nearly every bit of vocals you had in the original. Most of them were manipulated, slowed or reversed into unrecognition (I made your beautiful voice sound hideous at moments) and the B section largely focuses on these manipulated vocal bits. The Section C melody was created from chopping up moments I found particularly dazzling from your vocal performance. I also went through and sampled a lot of breaths to create background percussive elements. The first breath before the song starts is about 6 of these.

Me: I performed the Section A&C main synth and backing synth. Claps and snaps. Section B strings and pad synth. Section C additional synths and sub bass. Section D synth and sub bass following glitched bass sample. I added a big background drum kit.
