about

In honor and tribute to the Spring Equinox of 2022.

We humbly and respectfully request an expansive, joyous and peaceful spring for every sentient, non-sentient, animate, and inanimate being and object that dwells on this planet and galaxy.

As always:

Nourish yourself and others.
Cause no harm to self and others.
Ease the suffering of self and others.

¡Manos Lindas loves you!

Banjo: Jaron "El Juron" Williams
Bass: Arya "Brother Water" Zarrinkelk @manoslindasmusic

This album was recorded, "mixed, and "mastered" during the final months of my Peace Corps service in the Dominican Republic.

In the Peace Corps volunteers share their various external hard drives with one another so that we may have content to keep us entertained when we need to recharge. Jaron shared his with me and I discovered videos of him practicing/playing banjo.

I stripped the audio from these videos and selected banjo samples that I then looped in GarageBand via my 2010 MacBook Pro.

I literally then put my Dean Acoustic Bass guitar as close as I could to the computer's built in microphone and improvised bass lines which I then layered on top of one another along with the banjo parts.

After a little bit of "mixing" and "mastering" what you hear is the finished product.

This is one of the proudest pieces of music that I have ever created and I am grateful to share it with you and the universe.

about

Manos Lindas San Francisco, California

Manos Lindas is the product of what its name suggests.

Blurring an array of genres and origins, each member contributes their individual hands for a collective sound that can't be pinpointed.

A cultural melting pot and certain aspects of that culture are fading, natives would tell you.

The heterogeneity, the color, the nerve, the beauty, and the edge: this is what Manos Lindas sounds like.
